I have been working on a fireplace and columns that has Bitterroot Glacier Stone brand natural thin veneer and Mahogany stone caps.

Completed thin veneer. |
Day 1: WRB paper, expanded metal lath and tinted type N masonry mortar installation. |
Day 2: Stone installation begins. |
Day 3 |
Day 4 |
Hearthstone and column cap fabrication
Palletized stone. |
Cutting with a gas powered cutoff saw is very wet and messy. There is nothing like having to wear a full rainsuit when it is 78 degrees in order to stay dry. At least it wasn't 98 degrees. |
8 hours later....finished caps in the back of the truck ready to be taken to the jobsite and installed. |
